Have you had your Spiritual Awakening?

Yesterday, I had a very interesting day. Others may react to my experience as a blessing, others may say luck, personally I call it a spiritual awakening. It wasn’t until yesterday that I found out what a spiritual awakening encounter felt like. Yesterday I was on the way back home coming from North Carolina. When all of a sudden cars in front of me suddenly began braking. Of course because they seen a police car turning off the highway people automatically brake regardless of the flow of traffic. Anywho, that’s when I began braking but wasn’t able to brake ahead of time. So I swerved into my next lane to avoid hitting the person in front of me. All of a sudden.... BOOM! I was side swiped with some impact on my right side. I was so shook when I pulled over. The right side of my car is literally pushed in. So was it a blessing that things could’ve been worse? Was I lucky to not anybody bodily injuries? Or course. Whatever you wanna call it. That’s what I experienced!

For technicality,  A Spiritual awakening is an awakening of a dimension of reality beyond the confines of your ego. The ego is our exclusive sense of self or “I.” This experience happens when, for whatever reason, the ego somehow let's go so that a Higher Self or Spirit can arise within. Not sure what possessed me to not want to hit the back of someone, and not sure what was over me when I swerved into the other lane, being able to walk with out a scratch on my body. I’m blessed, I’m lucky, and I’ve officially tapped into my spiritual self. Walking away from this experience has led me to feel a lot of emotions. Grateful to the most high that I’m able to tell my story and Mindful to take life lessons out of experiences and complications I’m faced with. No matter what we’re faced with, I do believe that things happen for a reason. Whether we take it as a lesson learned or we self inflict, the purpose is to get out of ourself and become aware of our individual self and the connection of that and everything else that happens around us.
